Slow Running Computer Boosting

How to Troubleshoot a Slow Running Computer

Many issues can cause your computer to run more slowly. Most often, your computer may be trying to run too many programs at once or may have a software conflict. Havey software which is using tomany Ram and Processor
or any Viral activity which is using all processor activity .The issue may also stem from lack of RAM or malware that is using up your system's resources. You can perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance to help speed up a computer that is running slowly.

1- Reduce Programs Running on Startup

A - Click the "Start-->Run" button and type "msconfig" in the text box.

B -Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to launch the computer's System
      configuration tool .

C - Navigate to the "Startup" tab. This tab displays the programs that  launch    when your computer first turns on. Each program consumes some of your computer's resources, so the more programs that are running as background processes, the slower your computer will run.

D - Remove the check in the box next to programs you do not need to launch each time your computer turns on. If you are unsure of what a certain program is, it is better to leave the box checked.

E -Click "OK" to save the changes and reboot your computer when prompted. When your computer boots, it will only launch the programs you allow, which will help it run faster.

BASIC COMPUTER MAINTENANCE

A- Udate your antyvirus software and scan whole computer after  disconnecting lan connection .

B - Uninstall unused programs.

c - Run Disk cleanup tool .

D -Run disk Defragmenter.

E - Press the "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Del" keys on your keyboard at the same time, then launch the "Task Manager." Navigate to the "Performance" tab to view your memory usage. If your computer consistently uses close to 100 percent of your memory, you may need to add more RAM memory to your computer to help it run faster.

5-HEAR BEEP SOUND COMMING FROM CPU

1 Continuous Beep

One continuous beep isn't an officially listed Phoenix beep code but I know of several instances of this occurring. In at least one case, the solution was to reseat the CPU.

1 Long Beep, 2 Short Beeps

One long beep followed by two short beeps indicates that there has been a checksum error. This means that there is some kind of motherboard issue. Replacing the motherboard should fix this problem.

1-1-1-1 Beep Code Pattern

Technically, a 1-1-1-1 beep code pattern doesn't exist but I've seen it and many readers have too. Most often, it's a problem with the system memory. This Phoenix BIOS issue is usually corrected by replacing the RAM.

1-2-2-3 Beep Code Pattern

A 1-2-2-3 beep code pattern means that there has been a BIOS ROM checksum error. Literally, this would indicate an issue with the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Since replacing a BIOS chip is often not possible, this Phoenix BIOS issue is usually corrected by replacing the entire motherboard.

1-3-1-1 Beep Code Pattern

A 1-3-1-1 beep code pattern on a PhoenixBIOS system means that there has been an issue while testing the DRAM refresh. This could be a problem with the system memory, an expansion card, or the motherboard.

1-3-1-3 Beep Code Pattern

A 1-3-1-3 beep code pattern means that the 8742 keyboard controller test has failed. This usually means that there is a problem with the currently connected keyboard but it could also indicate a motherboard issue.

1-3-4-1 Beep Code Pattern

A 1-3-1-1 beep code pattern on a PhoenixBIOS system means that there is some kind of issue with the RAM. Replacing the system memory usually fixes this problem.

6-CHECK VGA CABLE

IF MONITOR SHOWING SIGNAL MESSAGE CHECK VGA CABLE.
